ToolBox Hub ("we," "us," "our") operates the website toolbox-hub.net (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Site and how it is used.
1. Information We Do NOT Directly Collect
We do not collect or transmit any data you enter into our tools.
We do not require account creation, login, or registration.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.
2. Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is:
Processed and stored by Netlify Forms on Netlify's servers.
Used only to respond to your inquiry.
Deleted from Netlify's dashboard after the inquiry is resolved.
3. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and third-party services:
Hosting Provider (Netlify)
Server Access Logs: Your IP address, request URL, timestamp, HTTP status code, browser user agent, and referring URL. These are collected by Netlify as standard web hosting operations. We do not have direct control over the retention period of these logs. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
CDN & Security Logs: Netlify's global CDN with built-in DDoS protection may temporarily store edge server logs and security data (including IP addresses) to protect the site against attacks.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
Pages visited, time on page, browser type, operating system, screen resolution, device type, and referring URL.
Transparency note: While our tools themselves do not send any data to servers, our hosting provider (Netlify) and third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) do collect standard web traffic data as described above. This is standard for all websites on the internet. We disclose it here so you can make informed decisions.
4. How Tool Data Is Handled
Key principle: All tool operations — calculations, text processing, file conversions, PDF editing, password generation, etc. — happen entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. The data you type, upload, or process inside any tool is not sent to our servers or any third party. It stays in your browser's memory and is discarded when you close the page.
Note: While the data you enter into tools is not transmitted, the act of loading the page itself generates standard server logs at Netlify (see Section 3). This is normal for every website.
5. Local Storage
Some tools save preferences (theme, language) to your browser's localStorage:
Stored only on your device.
Never sent to any server.
Clearable at any time via your browser's "Clear site data" settings.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each is governed by their own privacy policy:
Netlify — Hosting, CDN, contact form processing, server logs. Privacy Policy — DPA
We do not voluntarily share personal information with these services. By the nature of web hosting and advertising, they automatically collect certain data as described in their respective policies.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with data protection laws:
Right to Access: Request what data we or our providers hold about you. For contact form data, we can provide copies. For server logs, contact Netlify directly.
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of any data associated with you.
Right to Object: Disable cookies or use opt-out tools (linked above) to stop analytics and ad tracking.
Right to Data Portability: Contact form data can be exported upon request. Server logs are held by Netlify.
Know what personal information is collected (see Sections 2-3).
Request deletion of personal information.
Opt out of "sale" of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Data we hold is limited to contact form submissions (if any) and what Netlify collects as standard hosting. Use our contact page for requests.
9. External Links
The Site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those websites.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
